Be Bold, Be Brash ...
And Have Tons Of Passion!

It's Sunday evening and I'm writing this week's blog post on the train home from the Business 2012 show and exhibition at the O2, full of new ideas and really enthused by Richard Branson's keynote speech and his clear message to fellow entrepreneurs ...
sir richard branson is a great model for the key to financial success
The 'Rebel Billionaire' was interviewed about his journey from starting a magazine called 'Student' at the age of 16 and getting interviews with people like the Rolling Stones and selling advertising space to global corporates like Coca Cola, to his major current venture of space travel with Virgin Galactic Airways. Wow - what a journey!
In fact, there are more people who have booked on the space flights than there have been astronauts and all at the $200,000 return fare! He also reminisced about the creation of the Virgin name and how it took over four years to get it registered due to its sexual connotations! Obviously Virgin is one of the strongest brand names out there today and it is recognised right across the world, being synonymous with quality service and products.
The new banking venture Virgin Money will surely test the banking establishment as Sir Richard is renowned for doing things differently. Remember the piece I did on the numbers 1, 4, 15, 60 and 20? Do the opposite of the majority (the 60 and 20%ers) because they're only just getting by, or - in fact - failing!
As a word of encouragement, Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is the 4th richest citizen of the United Kingdom, according to the Forbes 2011 list of billionaires, with an estimated net worth of $4.2 billion. Wouldn't it be great to feel a sense of achievement that you too are en-route to success?
So apart from the obvious - getting the brand and the marketing right just like Virgin - the other biggest influence and advice Sir Richard gave was the greatest investment in learning from your past experiences, your competitors and taking different action than you did before. As NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioners, we have a saying which is 'there is no failure - only feedback'. So by learning from your past experiences that perhaps didn't altogether give the result that you intended, you can do something different next time. And let's remember the great Einstein who described the definition of insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!
So if you want to get away from the 20% or 60% group, then get your brand and marketing right and most importantly, invest in your own learning! You'll be pleased to hear that there's a great way to kick off your own journey to success outstandingly - why not join the Entrepreneur's Circle trial membership and book yourself onto my Flying Start event by clicking here? It takes place on Wednesday 28 March at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre, Newlands, MK15 0DL at 17:45 for a two hour introduction. And ... it's FREE! Just imagine for a moment what you will gain!
So - be bold, be brash and have tons of passion!
Until next time, have a super successful week ...
